Here's just a sample of what we've done recently to market the NECA Show to our members and industry leaders. read more...

Green Alley at NECA Show Gets the Green Light

Green building is the leading trend shaping construction and design these days, and at NECA 2008 Chicago, we're making sure that electrical contractors have the tools to help their customers meet their own green building goals, whether in achieving LEED certification, making buildings more energy efficient, or using renewable energy technology in their construction projects. Our Green Alley exhibitors are playing an important part in helping us achieve this goal!

The “Green Alley" at the NECA trade show will feature the most significant gathering of alternative energy technologies specifically for electrical contractors. Also on site will be the manufacturers of the latest energy-efficient products that are becoming increasingly important to your environmentally-minded customers. read more...

Helpful Hints: Getting To and From McCormick Place

In an effort to encourage carpooling for energy consumption, shared cab transportation options available at McCormick Place allow visitors to pay a flat per-person fare to area hotels, restaurants and other attractions. This program covers an area within these downtown boundaries: Roosevelt Road on the south, North Avenue on the north, Halsted Street on the west and Lake Michigan on the east.

Shared rides are available until two hours before an exhibit closes. The taxi starter or McCormick Place security personnel will provide assistance to your event guests, facilitating a quick and simple commute around the city. The shared taxi fare is priced at a flat rate of $7 per person.

NECA is also providing shuttle service to any convention-goers staying in the room block at the designated convention hotels. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes during Show hours between hotels and the McCormick Place, as well as to the Opening and Closing Session venues. Make your housing reservation and register online now!
