Leading Expo Service Company Brings More Than 30 Years Experience to Association

Bethesda, MD -- The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) announced the appointment of HFI, LLC, to sell exhibit space and provide logistical service for the NECA Show, the association's annual trade show held in conjunction with the annual NECA convention.

“This is an expansion of HFI’s current marketing services,” said Dan Walter, NECA Chief Operations Officer. “We have had a great working relationship with HFI over the past ten years, and we look forward to many more.” Susan McCart, HFI President, will lead these efforts, with Julie Duda, HFI Exhibit Sales Manager. The firm is located in Peachtree City, Ga.

The 2008 NECA Show in Chicago drew over 10,000 visitors during the course of the three-day event. "The enthusiasm and excitement over the products and services showcased at this year's trade show was probably at the highest level I've seen in 17 years – and the fact that over 10,000 people visited the Show floor this year proves that!" remarked Beth Ellis, NECA Executive Director, Meeting-Expositions.

“As we considered outsourcing our national trade show marketing, one of our main goals was to find an organization with the experience, level of professionalism, and the ability to build on NECA’s good reputation of quality customer service,” Ellis said. “Sue understands the electrical construction industry, and the trade show industry. She also has the vision to help us achieve our goals.”

McCart has over 30 years experience in the trade show and hospitality industry. Since 1997 her company, HFI, LLC, has served several industry clients, as well as owned and produced a collectibles trade show, IDEX, from 1999-2007. The show was recently acquired by Madavor Media, LLC in Boston. Prior to founding HFI, McCart was with AMC, Inc (now AmericasMart) in several positions, including Vice President / General Manager Trade Shows. AMC is best known as the producer of LIGHTFAIR, the international lighting show. She began her career with Hyatt Hotels in 1978.

”We are very excited about this great opportunity,” McCart said. “NECA is the leader in the electrical construction industry, and we are excited about helping a great organization strategically grow the most important electrical event in North America. HFI is committed to offering NECA and the NECA Show exhibitors the best business solutions available.”

The 54th NECA Show will be held with NECA's 2009 annual convention in Seattle, Sept. 12-15, 2009. Event and exposition details are available at www.necaconvention.org.
